Alstead property added to state register

ALSTEAD - Chase’s Mill in town has been added to the N.H. State Register of Historic Places. Chase’s Mill “is a rare early-20th century water-powered mill, built in 1912 from the remains of buildings dating back to 1765 when the town’s Mill Hollow section was a small industrial village,” according to a news release sent jointly by the N.H. Department of Cultural Resources and the N.H. Division of Historical Resources. Read more…
